Bill & Alex ~

Digressing to your longer-term portfolio, if one were convinced that AT&T will eventually come roaring back to dominate its segment again, say by year 2000, do you think that Leaps would be a reasonable way to get aboard? Or should you just buy more of its presently lower cost stock and put in vault?

The S.Carolina appellate court just issued a favorable decision requiring local service franchisers to sell access to their local lines to T and any others at 25% discount so they can resell it at a profit to attract a new local service provider base in competition with the existing. (A radical move here in the Deep South)

T has been financing profits of long distance startups for years now. The tables are starting to turn with the local service entry, IMO.

Thanks, Rick
