Curl Man:
Great to have U aboard also. This is the skinny. As you may be already aware this company is a niche company providing the essential 9-1-1 Services for telecom companies. Through SCC's NDSC (National Data Services Center the company allows ILEC's and CLECS to outsource almost all aspects of the 911 data management service. The company also liscenses its 911 OSS (operations suport system) software to carriers that wish to manage service in house.
1997 Revenue was $28 mill 1998 Revenue are $36 mill 1999 Est Revenue $50 mill
Major customers include ATT wireless, Teligent, Sprint, 360 Communications, Ameritech, Bell Atlantic, Bell Cda, Bell South, Commnet Cellular, Cox Communications, E.Spire, US West, US West wireless, Vanguard Cell,
Newly signed are Nextel and the major win the State of Texas ...which chose to proactively convert all 12 million wirelines to SCC and their NDSC. The State of Texas contract added a lot of credibility to this company and is sure to aid them in future wins.
Rumoured is that the State of California is next. Also, the company is exploring a possible expansion to the land down under for the entire Australian market.
Company went public at $12....underwriters Robbie Stephens and Hambrecht....company has a potential large swing in Quarterly numbers because of the one time fee's it receives when signing new contracts.
Competition....Xypoint a private company which is potentially going public it is told to me....they are the only real competition for SCCX.
Downside....BEL decided to pull its business in house this was a disappointement but it has now been factored in to the numbers.
Ameritech owns I believe 9% of the company.
Major institutions holding are Mass Financial and Kaufman fund...float is small so it trades very tight,
Low was 3 1/4 last year as the market was crashing.....tax sellers pushed it artificially low. Actual current value is more like $8...
Company has no debt, positive cash flow, and I think after 1/21 we will see insider buying....
Love to have you look at it Curl Man, I think this one is a sleeper and a keeper.
I am looking for a good quarterly number of .11 due 1/21.....
good luck,
