Jack, I don't know Dr Meade having only run across him once or twice. I have had some experience with real nut jobs. People who pepper you with anonymous and insulting e-mail, phone calls at home etc. And what I have found is the only thing that works well is to really do solid research on the subject and confront each and every abusive comment with hard solid facts. Don't respond with any abusive, emotional outbursts. That just feeds into their game. Once you sink to their level the thread is lost. Just take a deep breath, marshal your facts and refute their statements. One of two things will happen. If you have an honest to goodness basher he will get frustrated not being able to provoke outrage and eventually move of elsewhere where he can have his fun. Or you will find out you have someone with honest legitimate questions and the dialogue will teach you both something about the situation. I have had both results and actually got a couple of bashers interested in the stock they were trashing.

I know it is not the easy or quick solution to getting rid of a pest but in the long run it is the most effetive and fairest to all involved. Establishing threads with a useful dialogue is not easy, it takes a lot of hard work.
