Conoco Declares First Dividend

HOUSTON, Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Conoco (NYSE: COC), which completed a $4.4 billion initial public offering in October 1998, today declared a cash dividend of 14 cents per share on each outstanding share of Class A and Class B common stock, payable March 12, 1999, to shareholders of record as of Feb. 12, 1999. The dividend is the first declared by Conoco and is being paid on a pro rata basis as provided for in the company's IPO prospectus, covering the period Oct. 27, 1998 (date of legal transfer), to Dec. 31, 1998, and is equivalent to 19 cents per share for a full quarter.
