Might this be of concern for all those cancer vaccine companies ? newscientist.co.uk ...Scientists have known that infection inhibits tumour growth for over 100 years. Until now, they assumed that an immune system highly mobilised to deal with one threat responds better to another, and that this explained the finding. But the new research suggests that the immune system has nothing to do with it. According to Christopher Hunter of the University of Pennsylvania and his colleagues, infection stimulates the production of molecules that prevent angiogenesis...
