I totally agree, In fact I was looking over a PRIUS and have always wondered why they did not incorporate a recharger device that could be installed on the 4 wheel hubs to recharge
the batteries. the resistance would be minimal. A lot like the the little generators used to power the lights on a bicycle when I was a kid.
