Joel or All

After having experimented with most of the indicators in Metastock and a lot of my own custom ones, I decided to apply the KISS principle and have been using the following simple system with good success lately.

I look for stocks (ie AMTX, CUBE, WSTL, ZE) that:

- Are off their recent highs by at least 20% and preferably more

- Have been below their 25 day SIMPLE moving average for 4-6 weeks or more. (It is important to use the simple moving average to minimize whiplash)

- Are just crossing from below the average to above it or have crossed it earlier and pulled back to it.

- Had declining volume on each recent low during the fall.

I sell when the moving average is penetrated decisively on the downside, but am forgiving of minor, single day excursions through the average.

Any comments on this approach would be appreciated.
