Mythink, Chinese TV dramas, comparing with Indian/Brazilian, have more variety. Subjects include historical, current social/economic issues (anti-corruption, fighting crime, etc.), martial art, and of course human relationships (sort of like soap<g>). I preferred to watch historical ones, and occasionally some martial art ones<g>
