TVB in Breach of Disclosure Rules By Carelessness Jan 08, 2001 - 11:00:29 HKT Quamnet News Service Television Broadcasts Ltd. (0511), Hong Kong's dominant television broadcaster, said it has broken rules by the stock exchange that require disclosure on connected transactions, due to "inadvertent oversight". TVB said the transactions involved its 70 percent-owned subsidiary in Taiwan, Liann Yee Production Co. Ltd, and a Liann Yee's substantial shareholder, ERA Communications Co. Ltd., who is also a connected party of TVB. These parties had made agreements on purchase and sale of contents, productions, distributions and facilities. TVB said it had already published these transactions in its 1999 Annual Report, though it didn't post them on newspapers as required.
