You appear to know very little about the 'development' of DOS, and less about how the 'public demand' had any impact on which DOS IBM, CPQ, etc shipped with the box. The fact is, the public had no choice when they bought a box, they had to purchase MSDOS) If the public wanted DRDOS, they had to pay for both MSDOS and DRDOS, even though MSDOS would hit the bit-bucket.
