I can't speak to slavery, I wasn't around and certainly would never have been a slaveowner even had I been. It was so obviously wrong.

However, I know that the liberals' hero, Thomas Jefferson, was one of the worst slavemasters there was. While decrying slavery as evil, he sold his slaves rather than freeing them.
