To all: Jon Freeman did respond, although no response otherwise. The following was the general gist of his email:

Jon thanks for responding, sorry for sticking you in the middle. Guess I thought you might make sure that the powers-to-be saw my letter. By the way, who is Patti?

Sure seems like they are driving the price down intentionally. If some kind of buyout at 12 or 13, I will hire an attorney. I found the following in my mailbox today, apparently in response to something I posted on the usenet.

I am definitely with you in spirit in that e-mail you sent Novell. I sent a similar letter in July, but it was much more sarcastic and angry.

I bought them 5 years ago when the price was $60, and since then they have been on a self-destructive path. I was thinking of hiring some rabid lawyer on retainer and have him get the Securities and Exchange Comission to breathe nice and hard down their backs.

>From what I understand, their shares are not cheap enough for an attractive buyout.

Everytime I look at my Novell stock I get pissed off, and now it is such a small part of my portfolio that I am thinking of dumping it for emotional relief and going to a company that knows how to manage their stock, like US Robotics.

What about you?
