TTB: Yes I disagree. Fundamentally the company is sound and their new ventures have already prompted a new round of "what ifs" amongst big government types in the DOJ. This company is Americas crown jewel along with their running mate INTC. They execute very well and to Calvin Coolidges pleasure they "persevere" (http://www.thesaurus.com/cgi-bin/search?config=roget&words=persevere) True they invent little of what they develop but they develop and market better than anyone and at a very competitive price to the consumer. I owned a Mac for 20 yrs. Mary Meeker and Rick Sherlund have no idea of what MSFT is about or what their earnings progression will be. Their commentary is self fulfilling prophecy given the herd mentality of the street.

It is interesting to note that NOVL one of the early MSFT accusers who should have benefited the most from all this turmoil preannounced a shortfall and is getting pounded as I type. This whole suit is bad for everyone including Scott and his minions at SUNW. It seems that if the DOJ is to be fair they will now have to turn their sites on Time Warner/AOL now that Disney has put them under the microscope.

MSFT will survive, the PC is not dead but rather is the epicenter of everything digital from PDA's to Cell Phones to Servers. The PC serves the person and connects all these disparate elements together. MSFT will be there hooking them all together. Corporations outlive government administrations and even governments. MSFT will not only prevail but with the DOJ they will prosper enormously as what we see in the digital revolution is just the tip of the ice-berg. JFD
