If China came in, toppled our government which they claimed was corrupt and bristling with WMDs (quite true) and then proceeded to tell everyone that any action against the Chinese military was CRIMINAL....would you acquiesce? Would you? It's a once in a century POWER GRAB that has been so poorly managed by the incompetent Republicans that it has spun out of control. It IS civil war both hot and cold, violent and political. The Sunnis/Baathists were in power for all of their lives and now, poof, they aren't. Whether they were good, bad or indifferent as the Iraqi aristocracy, they want their place in society back. Is that so hard to understand? It's a fight for power, money, oil, status. It's pretty dang uncivilized and we're no better in this mess than anyone else, no matter how much we lie about freedom and democracy. We've killed and wounded more civilians than all the insurgents combined. We just bombed them in the middle of the night when there was no press around.
