The Microsoft Connection, continued:L&H says Microsoft news not new "...BRUSSELS, Sept 5 (Reuter) - Belgian speech-technology firm Lernout & Hauspie said on Friday news Microsoft (MSFT)was to use its technology in future products was not new. L&H shares on Easdaq and Nasdaq rose earlier on a report in the September 15 issue of Business Week...plans would be announced in November. ``This relates to a licensing agreement we signed nine months ago,'' a spokeswoman for L&H told Reuters. ``We can say (the technology) will be embedded in all future products,..." source: biz.yahoo.com If this is the case and the Kurzweil/L&H contract is still intact, SWEBF would still substantially benefit from retail sales because 1) the fact the Kurzweil/L&H speech products will basically become industry standards and accordingly 2) should be huge demand for the pre-existing installed base of pre and future non-OEM L&H-Microsoft Memphis-based IBM compatible computers.
