John, I'll offer my two cents here, but I believe
there are more knowledgable people on this thread.

1. Why hasn't Wall Street responded?

As you can see from their financial report, their numbers
are not pretty (in fact, should be said ugly). However,
as MCOM's CEO put it, Paul Allen is a visionary.
His recent actions are stronger endorsement of this service
and technology, which he has been involved since 1993. He
wants to move fast. Eventually Wall Street will appreciate
this.

2. Is there any competitor on the market?

As a resident in Bay Area, I didn't see other companies offering
similar services.

3. Is this a take-over target?

Depends on the potential market. Right now they have 17000
customers in three areas of the U.S.. With the popularity of
notebook computers and PDAs, There should be a lot of room for
growth. Since this is also a capital intensive business,
telephone companies should be interested in this.

IMHO, MCOM is a speculative buy at this point.
