Just off the top of my head, I'd say Unisys' financial results may not form a solid scientific basis for a thesis that the computing paradigm *isn't shifting. --- Here, try trending the market capitalization of the public hardware companies against the public software companies over the last year - 18 mos. The numbers should speak (loudly) for themselves. I know in my own case, I swapped out of NOVL on 12/31/98 at $18 and into LSI Logic at $16 (now $8 post split). This is almost a typical HW/SW price comparison over this time. I would be willing to bet (in fact, I have) that this will continue. -JCJ
