well, Bernie, it sounds like you're as good at picking a doubles partner as you are picking Dow stocks! :-) Too bad, though, that Uncle Sam gets in the way of the Dow 5 stocks you picked. The trade off is additional tax vs. price drop beyond their 12 mo. high... very unpredictable.

Did I mention to you that I finished (finally!) the Motley Fool Inv. Guide? Should have read it when it first came out, but at least I understand the process now. Doesn't seem like it would necessarily find stocks for AIM, but it would seem to find some good stocks. The problem I have with their approach is the same that I have with any form of FA and that's that there's no way around the subjective element of evaluating management and the business plan. That's what seems to evade me. Typical engineer I guess: always looking for an objective evaluation that puts something in the "good" pile or the "bad" pile and keeps the size of the "good" pile small. Oh well...
