RUFUS PAUL HARRIS:MOTION TO CONTINUE INITIAL PRETRIAL CONFERNCE (sic) Doc 56 extract MOTION TO CONTINUE INITIAL PRETRIAL CONFERNCE Comes now Rufus Paul Harris, and by his appointed counsel, Howard J. Manchel, respectfully requests the pretrial conference now scheduled for December 15, 2009 at 2 p.m. be continued until January 8, 2009, at a time to be set by the Court. Defendant Harris makes this request because of the volume of discovery to review (estimated at 44,000 pages). In light of the amount of documents to review Defendant Harris believes the ends of justice would be served by allowing additional time to prepare and that such an action would outweigh the best interests of the public and the defendant in a speedy trial.
