Jim, RE:'10 years'. Make it 3 months (6 months at the most).

MSFT is in the perfect business:

1. low-tech, extremely high-volume, no brainer.

2. other industries are forced (by competition) to give MSFT the
best environments (cheap everything). While everyone has to watch
the cost, the 'cost' for growing is taken care of by others.

3. MSFT is not a dinosaur yet. So this is a big bump rather than a
'long difficult road ahead'.

4. For some reason, MSFT is very scare on 'NSCP' and I think low
itself down to use 'monopolistic' tactic to protect the turf. It
should pay a 'fine/fee' just as a 'cost' of doing business. Without
this IE integration with OS, NSCP would have more market share. Hence
MSFT is not really paying a fine/fee, it's just the 'cost of making
money'. Give MSFT the credit of trying this: "let's see what if
anything DOJ can do about it".

It's all about MONEY, no big deal.
