There is nothing 'common' about sense.

Your basic premise is flawed. The salt would not magically distribute itself throughout the Sound. It would run off according to the drainage patterns. Where it winds up, and how long it is retained is going to depend on a lot of factors. None of which you know. And you need to know them to make the statement you have.

"If you know of some evidence that the Sound has been damaged in any way by the salting of Seattle streets that has been carried out for years, where is it?"

This is the sort of thing I mean. How do you know that Seattle streets have been salted for years? My father, when he was stationed briefly in Seattle during the Korean war, was told that it rarely snows in Seattle. So they likely have, at best, limited snow removal capability. And salting wouldn't be at the top of the list.
