Perry Signs Anti-Gay Marriage Pledge from The Primary Event by Katrina Trinko Rick Perry has signed the National Organization for Marriage’s presidential pledge to uphold traditional marriage and oppose gay marriage. The pledge includes a provision to support a federal marriage amendment defining marriage as between a man and a woman — something Perry clarified he supported after his remarks about letting gay marriage be a states’ matters were blasted by social conservatives.
