Now you're thinking like a Republican. Reagan will go down as a dottering, grandfatherly, glib president who was barely in control. Great in front of the camera, he will be remembered as the first television-era figurehead president. Iran-Contra will go down as one of the biggest scandals in presidential history. A large number of convictions of high ranking officials, overturned by immunity and Bush's pardons. A shameful chapter, incomparably darker than Monica-gate.
