Thanks Marcos, its an interesting read.
For those not use to the north or barrens Im sure its hard to put the location into context. The territories is an enormous area. The camp is like a small compact site hundreds of miles from civilization.
A great white vista of snow, frozen lakes with a fee rock outcroppings. At this time of year around noon you can see a lighter spot on the horizon due south. Thats your day in mid winter a bit of twilight.
In a way it would be like running a mining operation on the frozen dark side of the moon. Everything has to be flown in and for most the camp really is the center of the universe Its hard to explain that type of isolation untill you have experienced it.
Its a great adventure in Canadian and North Americian Mining History.
