Open message to all:
My god, I just waded through 135 messages, many of them line after line of the same old thing. In my opinion, the ones containing useful information could be counted on one hand - for those, I thank the authors.
In regards to what seems to be going on, I humbly offer the following axiom, first stated and proposed by Aristotle. Granted, it is very simple in its logic and easy to recite or think about; yet, when applied to day-to-day rational living, it is very hard to adopt and apply to one's response to the events in the world of investing, which we are all involved in:
It is not the actions of a person that disturbs me [us]. It is the way in which I [we] interpret those actions that disturbs me [us] !
Aristotle 384 - 322 B.C.
When it comes to investing, we all have our own agenda and goals, to this end, I again humbly offer the following:
TRUTH
How the devil do I know if there are rocks in your field, plow it and find out. If the plow strikes something harder than earth, the point shatters at a sudden blow and the tractor jerks sideways and dumps you off the seat - - because the spring hitch isn't set to trip quickly enough and it never is - - probably you hit a rock. That means the glacier emptied his pocket in your field as well as mine, but the connection with a thing is the only truth that I know of, so plow it.
James Hearst 1900 -
As always, these are just my personal thoughts and not meant to influence anyone.
