Randy Radtke is the Labor Council President there.

Parade Drumming Up Disputes Submitted: 08/29/2011

WAUSAU - The mayor of Wausau is his money back from the Marathon County Central Labor Council if the organization continues to limit who can participate in the Labor Day Parade.

Labor Council President, Randy Radtke issued a statement not allowing elected leaders from the Republican Party to participate, instead choosing, "not to invite elected officials who have openly attacked worker’s...

rights or stood idly by while their political party fought to strip public workers of their right to collectively bargain."

Wausau Mayor Jeff Tipple has responded to this issue saying, "The banning of a political party from participation at any event co-sponsored by the City is against public policy and not in the best interest of all the citizens of the City of Wausau."

The mayor goes on to encourage Radtke to invite any and all interested political parties to participate.
