The really interesting thing about the OBR act of 1993, usually credited with being the signal piece of legislation that brought order and sanity to the American economy, is that not a single Republican voted for it in either the House or the Senate.

And yet the urban myths about the bloviating Gingrich and the GOP salvation continues.

It was Gore who broke the tie in the Senate that brought fiscal sanity to America under Clinton.
