Yes, they did make a good fortune, look at the AMD 10K.
There are room for flash price to crash just like DRAM did last two years but there are two problems.
1) Demand is not great enough yet as of today.
2) Asian crisis will prevent or slow down many new flash memory fab investments become materialize.
