Orange said to be in talks for Mobile One and Wanadoo allegedly in talks for BT's yellow pages (Orange serait en negotiations pour Mobile One et Wanadoo les pages jaunes de BT) Les Echos - France; Jan 9, 2001 According to Singapore press sources, Orange, the mobile subsidiary of France Telecom, is in talks for the purchase of the 30 per cent stake in the Singapore operator Mobile One held by Cable & Wireless and the Hong Kong group Pacific Century CyberWorks (PCCW). According to one analyst, Orange may want to make Mobile One its base to penetrate the Asian market as a virtual mobile telephony market. According to British press sources Wanadoo, another subsidiary of France Telecom, is studying the possibility of an offer on Yell, the yellow pages subsidiary of British Telecom, in order to merge it with Freeserve, the ISP which the French group has just acquired.
