I'll stop there.

Thank heavens. I was beginning to think that pretty soon we'd be seeing the limericks I wrote for eighth grade English class.

In
fact, we report on most news reports based solely on what
that individual report said.

Yes. As seen through the filter of your bias and particularly your bias about bias.

It should be really easy to
find a couple of egregious examples of mainstream media
bias.

Here I thought you wanted examples of bias from the RW media. Sure I can find bias in the mainstream media, although I wouldn't claim that any of it was egregious. I've posted more than once about my earliest encounter with media bias. It was several decades ago when "tax reform" was the buzzword. By "reform" they meant making the tax curve even steeper whereas I though of "reform" as flattening it. It really frosted me that the "wrong" side would co-opt that word. That was a long time ago. Back in the days before they settled on "pro-life" and "pro-choice" and we were still seeing "anti-abortion" and "pro-abortion."

This discussion has once again deteriorated to the point where it seems nothing more than a muddle. I don't need the headache.
