Great earnings report. The investors recognized it even while the markets were tanking. As the money shifts back into tech stocks away from the "interest senstive stocks" (aka "old economy stocks") like financials, we should see a sustainable rally in NOK.

The companies that increase growth estimates coupled with strong earnings are being rewarded by the market and will continue to be. My favorites, Nokia, Corning (GLW), Nortel (NT) are doing well for this reason. Strong companies in strong sectors are the place to be from an investor's point of view.

When the market turns up in a big way as we head into the fall, the price gains will be much better than any "value" play---ie competitors such as Motorola in NOK's case and companies like Lucent in the case of Nortel.

I find people will try to find any wild excuse to cause worries to long term holders---such as we saw a certain poster on this thread. It is not unusual. The reason cited is like grasping at straws. It does not change the reality of Nokia's market position and the strength of the stock.
