Kumar - Methinks you are a little too enthusiastic. Although I think that AMAT will do well over the next few years, I feel obligated to point out some facts:

You said: <<Amat Competetors ,LRCX, openly admits that they are losing business to AMAT. AMAT has no manufacturing constraints. 2-3 years ago they silently bought huge facilities at Austin Texas to handle their manufacturing requirements.>>

1) The only area where LRCX has admitted that they have stumbled (and maybe lost some market share temporarily?) is in the cluster area. However, that is behind them. They are now pumping them out as fast as possible.

2) Both VLSI and Dataquest say that Lam was the leader in production of Dry Etch Equipment in '96, although in '95 they were second. I would speculate that AMAT was the '95 leader that Lam beat out in '96.

If you have other data I would appreciate seeing it.

As far as NVLS and patent infringement is concerned, it is settled. (And don't make the assumption that just because a jury decided against NVLS, that NVLS was really in the wrong. I have seen several absurd patents that were upheld until very late in the game - NVLS just didn't have the time to wait.)
