So the Democrats can promise to socialize power generation and do for energy in America what Dennis Kucinich did for it in Cleveland.

There are two causes of the blackout:

Continuing regulation (i.e., interference with the market by bureaucrats supported by market-haters in the region that got rightfully punished) that prevents the profitable construction of transmission infrastructure.

and

Anti-humanity enviromentilist phychosis, which inhibits the advent of cheap, reliable energy production.

Sweeping away the Marxist/Leninist anti-American left from all positions of influence in our society, and educating their blank-minded dupes in places like the Northeast, would solve the blackout problem. Expelling the Northeast from the Union would be a better solution. Let's start negotiations with Canada today!
