>>Both analysts say "despite the misinformation out there, the PC demand is just fine". They expect a $499 PC by summer and say that when prices are down, demand is up and margins will be able to be maintained.<<
in retail, prices were down 17% and unit demand was up 1%. so, "prices were down and unit demand was up" is a true statement. however, it is entirely misleading - especially to the slow wits. did kip write this fluff piece? ;-)
>>The price of the PC will affect the PC more than the semiconductors, they say.<<
affect pcs? in the prior paragraph, we heard that it won't affect pcs. now it will... let's keep the story straight for at least two paragraphs...
>>Comes through Real Player. It is long but complete and informative. In the 38th minute The Everin Sec. analyst is asked specifically about MU which he re-iterates as a buy at these levels, citing that MU has the largest mkt share, is the largest DRAM provider, will have good earnings going forward and has the lowest cost (his word). Everin expects Samson and NEC to be Micron's biggest competitors.<<
so this did come from kip as this is the same stuff he has been leading analysts to believe for quite some time.
thank god for independent thinkers like kip. btw, kip, does mu management spoon feed this goop to all the analysts "off the record" so they go and repeat it like a bunch of broken records? |
