Newport Exploration (NWX-V) has approximately $6.4-million in the treasury

Newport Exploration has received its 2.5-per-cent (after-tax) gross overriding petroleum royalty payment for the three-month period spanning February, 2018, to April, 2018.
Gross royalty income for the period was $1,671,822 (Australian). The payment received by Newport of $1,170,275 (Australian) is net of 30-per-cent Australian withholding taxes ($501,547 (Australian)) in accordance with the Australian Tax Office.

Newport has approximately $6.4-million in the treasury, comprising cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments.

The company continues to strongly encourage shareholders and potential investors to access information released independently by Beach Energy Ltd. and Santos Ltd. to keep current during exploration, development and potential production of all the licences that are subject to the company's gross overriding royalty.
