Some graphics card benchmarks:

For those of you interested in some real world benchmarks of the latest graphics cards running (what else? :) Quake, see the following site:

cam.org

Note, under the Pentium Pro system portion, there are two #9 cards, the Imagine 128 and the new Reality 332 3D card. They both put in respectable frame rates. The Matrox Millenium posted slightly better frame rates (maybe 10% faster) but that is a more expensive card than the Reality 3D, and, more importantly it only has Gourard Shading for its 3D portion, not texture mapping, making it pretty much useless for accelerated 3D games.

It would be nice to see what an accelerated version of Quake for the Reality 3D (i.e. Virge VX chip set) does in terms of frame rates. Hopefully someone will do the software port soon.
