Hi Trev It may have sounded funny but it isn't. What he forgot to tell you is the officials or lawmakers (whatever) were also dressed in that kind of outfit! The ethos of the "new" South Africa is that anything white or Western is bad, anything black or African is good. I suppose you saw that the guests of honor at Mbeki's coronation were Gadaffi and Arafat?! I'm surprised Castro wasn't present --- I suppose he isn't black enough. Clinton sent Janet Reno --- I guess she's regarded as having a black heart after what she did at Waco! What a crowd! All humanitarians, non-racists and democrats.
