Notice the convuluted word study and great pretension of wisdom in expalining what the Holy Spirit has explained with clarity and simpliticty in the two Esiptles of John.
One of satans' greatest tricks is to take simple truths and make them complex by a pretension of worldly wisdom, i.e. word studies, long drawn out reasonings to conform to some secret agenda etc.

The above drawn out reasoning avoids, at all times, the Holy Spirits definitions in the Epistles of John because they do not fit with his reaoning and agenda. In the place of the Holy Spirits' teachings, a lesson is given about the "true" meaning of anti and at the end of the lesson we are in essence told that the Holy Spirit definition is wrong . The teaching on antichrist in the Epistles of John has been completely subverted by false human reasoning.

A humble heart, trust in the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and the simple Word of God are the Christian's weapons in avoiding deception.
