You will have to reload your drivers. Go to the control panel double click on the modem icon. Choose have disk and load the drivers that came with your modem. If you do not have them they are still on your computer in the "c:\windows\inf" or "c:\windows\system" directory. When you click on have disk it will ask you were to search, point to this directory. If I am unclear I will try to explain better just let me know.
