Global Crossing to Deploy OPNET's SP Guru for CAPEX Optimization
BETHESDA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 30, 2001--OPNET Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:OPNT - news), the leading provider of intelligent network management software, today announced a multi-million dollar agreement with Global Crossing Ltd. (NYSE:GX - news) that includes software licenses of OPNET's new SP Guru product and professional services.

SP Guru is a revolutionary new product that builds on the new 8.0 release of OPNET's core technology, adding significant new features for configuration troubleshooting, change validation, predictive planning, and design optimization. SP Guru will be extended to import Global Crossing's demand forecast and inventory information, providing an industry-first combination.
