Dale, Syquest does not have a floppy product. I think you're break even for September 98 quarter is quite pessimistic. I think they should break even early 98 quarter or 2nd quarter of 98.

My theory: disk drive makers are hurting cause consumer's are buying removables as an inexpensive way to upgrade storage.

The SparQ if priced at $33/1GB compared to $75-99/1GB of Jazz undercuts Iomega's price by quite a wide margin. If properly marketed, this could turn Syquest's fortunes. The retail market does not require huge drive space ie 4.3GB. The 4.3 GB Rocket will serve well in the corporate, video-editing world. I think Syquest has already conceded the smaller capacity market to Iomega.
