Lower rates have added liquidity into the pocket books of consumers as follows: Floating rate structures of home equity loans have added tens of millions of dollars that consumers have less to pay for borrowing 2) Purchases on credit cards ar cheaper and auto loans are cheaper, 3) home re-financing is up. Hopefully the capital expenditure recession will end because of the rate reductions. The problem as I see it is that although major purchases are on hold because of lack of profitability, there is also the perception that there will be future rate cuts so "WHy not wait until rates are cut later rather than sooner. I think that the if the Fed signals an end to the pace of rate cuts, a signal will be sent out to "take advantage" now rather than waiting, because waiting will not help and there are no hopes of further rate cuts. I also would like to see a signal from the Fed that they would even consider rate increases. That would signal the urgency to "Buy" and buy now!

I don't think Sun Microsystems is cheap if they don't start to perform. I again have maintained my huge position in the stock and haven't abandoned them since I feel that there is basic value in the products and management in place. I feel that if necessary, they will do away with the "slaggart" employees. I feel that that they have bottomed here.
