Cymer has stated that they have not guided analysts to any material change in estimates. Now some companies have given preannouncements of exceeding estimates but this is generally done very rarely and only if the company is comfortable in analysts raising estimates for the future - not just the quarter. Given the various customer production issues in deploying steppers, not to mention potential legal issues if wrong, I can clearly understand why they wouldn't do this.
