TC, Bush can no longer keep playing the politics of fear to cover up his failings on the economic front. Yes, the threat from terrorist attacks is always there, but it is the Presidents job to ensure progress on both the economic front as well as guarding it from external threats. People believe that Bush has failed to do what people expect him to do. It is not just enough to say that he has done well on the security front and was unable to demonstrate progress on the economic front.

And then Bush comes out with all these figures to support his claim that the economy is doing well. And the Democrats do not disagree with him somewhat. They say that it is the "two Americas" One group is doing well. Their numbers are going up, there prosperity is going up. But then there is the second group, the majority group whose prosperity is going down, whose healthcare is going down etc. etc. And it is this majority of the "two Americas" who will decide whether Bush stays in office or not. It is this majority who will decide if the "trickle down" economics is what they want or not.

TC, it is not a question of whom you go to bed with. It is what is waiting for you when you get out of bed.
