Hi. re shorting non marg sec's: I am not whiz at this either. talked to a friend of mine who is very astute in this game. He basically says anyone can short anything and ther are virtually no tricks to force them to prove deliverability or deliver. Evan splitting the stock or spinning off "subs" as dividends can easily be gotten around by shorts with a modicum of sophistication. Some firms are taking a "look" at brkers whose clients own IPM, i am hearing. Compliance forms: what did you think you knew and when did you think you knew it, sort of thing. What did you tell your client to get him/her/it to purch? etc? some profile is nice, too high a profile has drawbacks. see ya, alte
