Hi Brent!

It has been very interesting reviewing this thread... Lots of good information and opinions. We now have 1K shares of RAIN at avg. of 27.5 so were happy to see it hit above 33 this past week... but it was hard to see it fall back to below 30 again. Profit taking was inevitable when it approached it old high of 34 1/4 (after split). We are planning a trip to WDW at the end of October and although we come from the land of real RAINFORESTS in Panama, we can't wait to see the new RAIN in Orlando. I just went to RAIN's web page and left a request for investor info and on the hours of operation. It looks like they do take reservations but only for parties of 20 or more... so will just have to plan to arrive a bit early for lunch or dinner. But can expect to still have a bit of a wait for a table.

Got a note from your dad out in Washington state at Mt. St. Helens where he was hiking in the area, but had his new Samsung laptop with cellular modem with him. Sound like he was enjoying the trip.

Brent, what was your opinion of the food quality and service at the Woodfield Mall RAIN? I asked your Dad but he never got back to me on that question. We are very enthusiastic about Rainforest Cafe and have been spreading the word to a few investment conscious Zonians.
Very good news about the expansion to Grapevine Texas! and to Mexico and Great Britain too! I do hope they can find good talented and savy management personnel to run these new places... and how about all those parrots! I didn't know they had that many parrot breeders in the US?

We are planning to retire in the Orlando, Florida area at the end of 1997 so RAIN will likely be a familiar haunt for us. The food images on the www look delicious and others have rated the food as good to excellent.

I've been looking around the SI site and have looked into IOMG and QDEK threads... QDEK was up nicely last week and was a good buy around 6.
IOMG has been stagnant of recent... made our big .9K purchase at 26 3/8, but has been essentially downhill from there. Fundamentals look promising, but in the present "schooling fish" movements in the market it may take a while to return to its previous strength. I mentioned to my wife this am that the market reminded me of a school of minnows that dash one way and then the next with the least shadow on the water. "Herd psychology" at its best. So long for now... good luck with RAIN and DANB... Mel & Kathy Boreham Los Rios, Panama
