O'Neill lies routinely. Here, for example, he lies about something that is already on public record: O'Neill, first recruited to go after Kerry by the Nixon administration in 1971, said on CNN's Crossfire on August 12 that "I've had no serious involvement in politics of any kind in over 32 years." O'Neill also denied being a Republican. Yet Federal Election Commission records show O'Neill has contributed $14,650 to political candidates -- all Republicans -- since 1990.
