If I were Motorola, I would not be very happy with the current Apple behavior. I wonder what would happen to AAPL if they were to give the folks in the PPC fab a vacation until all this nonsense is resolved.

Umax at SIGGraph seemed totally unconcerned about the state of Apple. They seemed to be quite inclined to grow their Intel workstation business.

This is all very strange.
