Walls, Dams and Gates.....

>>Apparently there's no shortage of hubris in Redmond.>>

Closed, closed, closed.....

On honor of Ronald Reagan I'd like to just take this opportunity to say to Gates and Balmer....

"TEAR DOWN THESE WALLS, LEVEL THIS DAM AND OPEN UP THESE GATES!!!!!"

After hearing their spin yesterday it was almost as if I was feeling more of this cold war rhetoric: Us vs. Them.

It took someone with enough core guts and values to "see" through the cold war BS.

Microsoft has become a technology gulag. Thanks to the perversity of it's core values, it's grown by placing fear, greed, money and power above value and service. This is why they are being attacked. And this is why they will have to radically change....if at all possible.

The problem with this cold war is this Us. vs. Them mindset that's preventing REAL positive change.

The govt. is a monopoly. The govt. takes energy. It is more of a black hole than Microsoft. So this attempt by our govt. to nationalize a key/core technology base should raise incredible concerns right and left.

I believe the right path to take is for the users of Microsoft's products and services to demand that this debate be placed in the right arena. There needs to be a 3rd leg - and I'll refer to this simply as a mirror of Ronald Regan's call for Gorbachav to "take down this wall!!!"

Did it take a war for the iron curtain to fall?

NO!

People just changed their.....mindsets. Away from FEAR, POWER and CONTROL....to more positive things relating ot freedom, liberty and the great possibilities that lay beyond.

Sure there's chaos in this route, but these dams have to break down and the water must flood somewhere. But the end result is that more people have the opportunity to freely chose where they want to live, how they want to express themselves, etc.

Criminals the world over will do what they have to do. But this should not stop people from believing that there it hope.

Give it up, Bill. Give it up, Steve.

Let go!

You could either be part of this revolution of openness and transparency and truth or you can decide to continue fighting it out in the darkness against against federal govt.

I think this case should be thrown open for public opinion. But the public needs to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for taking this step and be part of the solution.

A third leg needs to be established: the INDIVIDUAL, US, etc.

Leaving it up simply to the govt and Microsoft can open a bigger can of worms.

Peace.

GO!!
