re: Tim Wood/Andy Smith did NOT paint accurate pix: India's 2002 gold Scrap increase:

Meanwhile, one time gold stuffbag India doubled its scrapping last year to take advantage of higher prices, whilst in February illegal exports were being reported.

Lest all forget when listening to the gospel acc'd to "Smith" Chapter 4003, verses 72 and 73...

India's huge dowery consumer populace was rather ignominiously informed during 2002 of massive under karating of said dowery items. Recepients returned them in droves, trading in their wedding "shy of a full-load" gold for smaller but "genuine McCoy" 24K instead of stuff STAMPED 24K.

It always amazes me who those wielding such a Pooh intellect as our beloved mule's rear quarter's gazing Smith can draw such assinine conclusions about a "new stuffbag India" trend without doing his homework first.

Said underkarating was "caught" due to India's recent application to the international gold-world's "seal of approval agency" by which they are certified as NOT permitting nor promoting under karating scams, and paying a "surcharge" to said world agency for premium pricing gold jewelry products. The two year+ long process to get India certified was what uncovered the scandal as the sponsoring world jewelry org. conducted the necessary "spot checks" prior to issuing said "seal of approval."

Tsk Tsk...Andy Smith..missed again, you gloomy Eeyore!
